Our specialty cut flower ranunculus corms are now available to the home gardener.
I’ve grown ranunculus for many years now but have never grown butterfly ranunculus. I’ve wanted to, but never taken the plunge because they are incredibly expensive. But this is the year because I’m tired of missing out.
Butterfly ranunculus are truly something special. Butterfly ranunculus are different than standard ranunculus because they produce multiple branching stems per plant with 5 to 7 blooms per stem. the blooms are 2-3 inches wide and more closely resemble poppies or cosmos than traditional ranunculus. The petals also have a thin, waxy layer that makes them durable and creates a sparkling, opalescent sheen on each petal’s surface. Their petals literally flutter like wings on a butterfly. I can’t wait!!!
Butterfly ranunculus Venus is a soft, romantic light pink.
I’m offering small quantities to the home gardener so you can give them a try too without breaking the bank.
Ranunculus can be planted in the fall and over-wintered or can be planted in late winter (January/February). Complete growing instructions will be included with your purchase.
Quantity: 10 corms
Variety: Butterfly
Since I have never grown Butterfly Ranunculus before, I’ve had to borrow photographs from Easy Seeds and Fuirk Home.
