9C tulip bulbs refer to refers to bulbs that have been pre-chilled for some of the required cold weeks necessary to induce blooming. These bulbs are best suited for warmer climates or growers who want to force flowers outside of the typical spring season. I highly recommend growing 9c tulips in warmer climates.
No tulip collection is complete without an orange tulip and I’ve taken it a step farther. This is a double orange with FRINGE. Yep, those little fairies have worked overtime with this burst of orange by trimming all the petals edges with little pinking shears.
This double bloom is a fiery orange flushed with raspberry feathering and, of course, fringed petals that turn a golden color in the interior as it ages. This will be a spectacle as it blooms.
