Bloomquist York - 90% Positive

OK, here is a new one for you. The short version is that I agreed to let a teenager work for me this summer because she needed volunteer hours for a school project. I tasked her with labeling each dahlia plant with flagging tape. Unfortunately, I’ve discovered that she mislabeled my Bloomquist York and Bloomquist Alan tubers. The reason I know is that I had 20+ clumps labeled Bloomquist Alan, but I know this is wrong because I did not have that many Bloomquist Alan plants. So her mistake (and my lesson learned) is your benefit.

These tubers are likely Bloomquist York but there is a 10% chance they are Bloomquist Alan. But either way, BOTH flowers are beautiful!

The only caveat to this reduced price is that if they do in fact bloom as Bloomquist Alan instead of Bloomquist York, you will not be refunded.

If you MUST have Bloomquist York (and don’t we all need her!?!) there is a Bloomquist York listing that is BQ York.

Bloomquist York is a 6 Inch Informal Decorative

Bloomquist York was a new to me dahlia in 2024 and was far prettier than I could have ever imagined. Bred by genius dahlia hybridizer, Paul Bloomquist, the color of Bloomquist York lands somewhere between rusty-red, maroon and dark magenta. Each petal looks hand painted. This is one of the tallest plants on the farm giving each bloom a perfectly long stem.

This beauty made the “stay forever” list back in 2024 and is a “must grow” in my opinion.
